Speaking Engagement: Dr. Timothy Renick will Present at the APLU Annual Meeting

The APLU Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, is November 10-12! This year’s theme, Our Public Purpose, will explore how public universities can better fulfill their mission to serve society and address the most pressing challenges of our time.

The National Institute for Student Success (NISS) is working with more than 100 institutions—across 24 states and enrolling 1.4 million students—to implement scalable, evidence-based practices that have been demonstrated to improve student outcomes and significantly reduce equity gaps. A question leveled for years has been whether such practices are sufficiently adaptable and applicable to produce repeatable gains across various colleges and universities. This session explores the evidence for transferability, outcomes produced, and critical lessons learned from the NISS experience three years since its launch, including its work with more than a dozen APLU institutions.
