Guided Implementation Pathway Program
The Guided Implementation Pathway Program (GIPP) helps institutional leaders translate proactive advising best practices into sustainable campus action. Grounded in data-driven decision-making, the program begins with a SWOT analysis and campus survey to assess institutional strengths, challenges, opportunities, and priorities. Using these insights, NISS coaches and subject matter experts partner with campus teams to identify the most impactful student success initiatives and develop a strategic implementation plan. Throughout the process, participants learn how to leverage institutional data to make informed decisions and select the implementation pathway best suited to their campus needs.
Overview
Each recommended solution area helps you investigate, build, and launch an essential component to implement leadership’s preferred pillar of success. Paced lessons and collaborative meetings help leadership visualize the necessary materials to implement their goals. A dedicated NISS coach and data analyst will review submissions during each phase of the customized solution areas. In addition, a Pathway Coordinator will monitor your progress, communicate goals, and be available to help at any point in your engagement. This plan is structured with weekly lessons and an approximate seven-month engagement for each pillar of success.
The Process
The Process
Move through each phase of the GIPP journey to assess your needs, develop practical solutions, and build a foundation for continued growth.
The Benefits
The program is designed for institutions that are ready to lead their own implementation efforts while benefiting from targeted guidance and support. Campus teams establish priorities, drive progress, and build internal capacity, with NISS providing tools, coaching, and accountability throughout the process. Milestone progress is reviewed at six and twelve months following the engagement.
Faster Implementation
Your institution will implement practices at an accelerated rate. What normally takes a year or more can be accomplished in seven months. At the end of your engagement, you'll receive specific milestone progress tracking for 6 and 12 months post engagement.
Collaboration
Your institution's team of up to 5 members will be placed in a cohort of other institutional teams, allowing collaboration across campus partners. In addition, you will have Live AllTeams Connective meetings with additional institutions and NISS subject matter experts.
Personalized Pathway
NISS experts will conduct and deliver a SWOT Analysis of your advising practices. This SWOT survey will inform your recommended courses and Pathway in GIPP, ensuring you implement the most beneficial proactive advising practices for your institution.
