Speaking Engagement: Dr. Timothy Renick to Serve as Keynote Speaker at the 2026 Summit on College Success in Atlanta

Dr. Timothy Renick, Founding Executive Director of the NISS, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2026 Summit on College Success in Atlanta, GA. The Summit on College Success is an annual convening for college counselors, alumni advisors, and university partners across the Critso Rey network. Dr. Renick's presentation "Transforming Student Outcomes and Lives: A Data-Informed Approach to Supporting Students" will share practical approaches to supporting students as they navigate obstacles to college enrollment and success.  Through evidence-based programs that are grounded in data, Georgia State has improved graduation rates by 70% and eliminated achievement gaps based on students’ race, ethnicity, and income level.  The NISS is now implementing these programs across 170 colleges and universities in 31 states. The session will show that by focusing the issues that are in our control and practices that have been proven to be impactful by research, we can reduce Summer Melt, improve student financial wellness, better target advising supports, and transform graduation and career outcomes for students from historically at-risk backgrounds.
