When Colleges Close, Students Aren't Likely to Re-Enroll
College closures, especially closures that are abrupt, are done without teach-out agreements, and/or are done without proactive advising to facilitate student transfer to another institution--have a long-term negative impact on student college outcomes, particularly those of low-income, students of color.
