Consolidation and Completion Gains

In 2016, Georgia State University merged with Georgia Perimeter College, a two-year community college. One goal was to improve graduate rates at Georgia Perimeter by implementing the same tactics GSU implemented to improve student success rates. This process included hiring 30 additional advisors at Perimeter College, which reduced advising caseloads from 1000 students per advisor to 400. Now, predictive analytics and smaller caseloads allow advisors to be proactive when warning signs are evident.
