In the world of big data, UW schools see a chance to predict who will struggle - and help early

In 2019, the UW System Board of Regents approved a contract with Education Advisory Board (EAB), the firm that developed the Navigate Student Success Collaborative (NSSC) with the intention of improving student success rates through predictive data analytics. The goal of the NSSC is to pull university-wide data into a central location so it can be readily available for administration, faculty, and staff. The data that are collected predict risk factors that act as barriers to student success.
