ROI Study: Panther Retention Grants
A common barrier, across institutions, to student success is financial need. Students who drop out often face financial stress and have unpaid balances. In 2011, Georgia State University implemented a grant program that provides students close to graduation with grants to cover unpaid balances. By 2016, students receiving grants were greater than two times more likely to graduate within three terms than peer groups of students who dropped out due to financial distress.
