Their research concludes that corporations might better serve customers if their labor force is more prepared to shift with the changing demands of the consumer. They suggest corporations focus on cultivating underlying essential human capabilities, instead of skills, as a way of sustaining a quality workforce. They define human capabilities as observable human attributes that are demonstrated independent of context.
