The Broken College Ranking System

The U.S. News formula for ranking institutions, by design, bolsters support for institutions already recognized as prestigious while keeping universities like Georgia State University out of the top spots. Rather, a fairer rankings system would support schools like Georgia State whose mission is to help students from poor families enter the middle class.
