To mark the release of the second edition of Won't Lose This Dream: How an Upstart Urban University Rewrote the Rules of a Broken System, the National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University will host a live event featuring author Andrew Gumbel in conversation with Tim Renick, Ph.D., Founding and Executive Director of the NISS. This new edition includes a new afterword that emphasizes Georgia State’s role as a national, innovative leader in student success. Panelists will address key challenges and realities that students face in the evolving higher education landscape, discuss innovative strategies and scalable solutions that enhance student success, and highlight Georgia State's status as a national model for institutional transformation, closing achievement gaps and promoting degree completion for all students. This live-streamed event will also feature an introduction by Dr. Allison Calhoun-Brown, Sr. Vice President for Student Success and Chief Enrollment Officer at Georgia State University, and an audience discussion moderated by NISS Sr. Director of Client Service Delivery Jessica Rowland Williams.
