An expert on proactive advising, Carol instituted mandatory advising for all freshman students, successfully implemented an advising system to track progression and established tracking and communication processes to ensure that advisement needs of students were being met. In 1990, Ms. Cohen began her career in academic advising in the Georgia State Athletic Department, implementing the first academic support program for student-athlete development. Carol received her bachelor’s degree from Berry College and her master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Georgia State.
